Sounds like Professor Henry Higgins from “My fair Lady” or Higgins in Magnum P.I. … A lot of people say that. But you’re right – the surname is quintessentially British.

Clear, dynamic, stylish. British and yet international.

I suppose it’s because she IS international! Born in Brazil to a Spanish mother and British father, she spent her first few years in Central America but was then sent off to a British boarding school. After she graduated with a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Essex University, she moved to Germany. She has lived in Munich for over twenty years now. Her parents still live in London though.

Well, she grew up speaking two languages at home: English and Spanish. Then she learnt Portuguese because she lived in Salvador, Brazil for eight months. Her German is fluent and there’s still some French phrases in her vocabulary. So that makes 5 languages in total.

It was probably a combination of reasons. She really liked literature and theatre studies at school where she also had private Speech & Drama classes for five years. She took acting seriously and did all the London Academy of Dramatic Arts exams. She was regularly on stage in the school plays and at festivals. Later Tania was performing in a play in Munich when a well-known dialogue coach asked her to record a voice sample. Doing voiceovers is acting with just your voice, right? Her first job was a radio play for the English department of the BR - Bayerischer Rundfunk (that’s a bit like Bavarian “BBC” ; ) That was just the beginning, sixteen years ago now!

You may have heard Tania’s voice on TV commercials in the UK for a famous epilator brand, one of the world’s largest video game companies, an online fashion retailer, a nr.1 brand in medicinal cream, to name a few. Other places you will hear Tania’s voice are; awards ceremonies, audio guides in museums, audio books, corporate image films, documentaries, explainer videos or even navigation systems and telephony. If you’re an employee of a large company, then you may have heard Tania’s voice in your E-learning programme.

Yes! She also enjoys presenting in front of the camera or a live audience. For Porsche’s 70th anniversary, Tania was delighted to present their Facebook livestream. That was 7 hours of presenting live over 2 days and had over 3 million viewers! I suppose you could say she enjoys working under pressure.

She’s obsessive! She wants to know everything and likes researching stuff. Her friends call her “Inspector Higgins” because she asks so many questions. That’s actually a good thing because she wants the best result for your project. Don’t worry, she’s friendly and won’t bite. Tania’s also really quick when she’s in the booth. I don’t mean she reads the text fast. I mean she’s proficient. Phew! That means you can all go home earlier - or go for a drink together!
